Motus Energy currently manages two terminals, Motus T1 and Motus T2, strategically located in the Port of Brownsville, Texas, allowing for increased movement of commodities between the United States, Mexico and other international markets. The facilities have a current combined storage capacity 910,000 barrels and we have 125,000 barrels of new capacity under construction, bringing our total capacity to 1,035,000 barrels, with future expansions planned.

Our fully engineered facilities feature flexible piping and manifold configurations and can accommodate inland marine, Bluewater vessels, rail, and trucks. When our current expansion project is complete in Q3, we will have the unloading capacity of 88 railcars per day, 10 automated truck loading racks with a high-efficiency vapor control system, increasing the daily loading capacity of 110,000 barrels per day.

Post our current expansion, the terminals can now receive, store, blend and deliver 200,000+ barrels of clean products; 275,000 barrels of lubricants; 100,000+ barrels of refined paraffin waxes; and 455,000+ barrels of fuel oil.

In addition to storage of multiple bulk liquid commodity products, Motus’ terminal is the only high-volume, shore-to-vessel liquid transfer terminal in the Port of Brownsville, with loading rates up to 20,000 barrels per hour. The facility liquid is connected to the liquid cargo dock and capable of handling Panamax class vessels.
